I saw a cool photo shoot idea on Instagram that I wanted to try out. Specifically, it involved a model being illuminated by colored lights in the dark on a bridge over a highway, with cars driving by in the background. The whole scene was then captured using a long exposure so that only the lights from the cars are visible as streaks. Until it got dark enough, we took some more pictures, starting with a few using red light.

Since red light isn’t always great for photos, we tried out green light and really liked it, so we took a few photos with it. We also took a couple of very close-up shots.
Third, we moved on to Lila and took some more photos of her.

But of course, we didn’t just take regular photoshoot pictures, we also took photos based on the idea that led to the session in the first place. You can see those in the last gallery here.

The shoot was definitely a lot of fun, and the atmosphere was great. Many thanks to Nin for her time and the shoot. I’d love to do it again.
There was also a brief, funny moment when a construction worker from the nearby site on the highway stopped by to see what we were doing, since people had already been asking what that strange light on the bridge was. We were able to clear that up quickly, and then he drove off with a smile.
